Michael Shane Smith

Michael Shane Smith, 55, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 31, 2022. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Mike was born November 12, 1966 in Anderson, South Carolina, son of the late Tom Smith and the late Cindy Smith. He was a senior plant manager at Seafox, with a 20 year career.

Mike was a very stern man who would be there for anyone at a moments notice. When John lost his father at 11 years of age, Mike took him in and offered a life he would never have had. Anytime anyone had a question about anything, everyone knew we could call Mike. He would come or he would walk us through it. He was one of a kind and we feel very blessed that we were able to know a man like Mike. He loved his family, the mountains, and making money!  Gone, but definitely will not be forgotten. Love you and we will miss you, Big Mike.

He is survived by his fiance, Lena Gullquist, of Charleston, SC; his son, Wyatt Shane Smith, of Summerville, SC; his step son, John Tallon, of Charleston, SC, and step daughter Ashley Tallon, of Hurst, Texas.
