Michael Robert Morris, 64, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of Deborah Morris entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 8, 2025. His Memorial service will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 in St. James United Methodist Church, 512 St. James Avenue at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow with full Marine Corps honors at Beaufort National Cemetery 1601 Boundary St. Beaufort, SC 29902 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Michael was born November 11, 1960 in Ware, Massachusetts, son of the late Alfred T. Morris and Patricia Granger Morris. A respected professional, Michael had a distinguished career as a Manager for the Department of Defense. His dedication to service extended beyond his professional life; he was also a proud retired U.S. Marine, having served honorably as a Gunnery Sergeant (GYSGT). His commitment to his country and community remained steadfast throughout his life. Michael's education included obtaining a Master's degree, showcasing his commitment to both personal growth and professional excellence. He was known for his unwavering support of the Boston Red Sox, passionately following the team as a true baseball enthusiast. He was also a fan of the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots. Michael Robert Morris will be remembered not only for his professional prowess and military service but also for the deep love he had for his family and the passions he pursued throughout his life. His spirit will endure in the memories of those he touched.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Morris; 2 sons: David Michael Morris (Alecia) of Summerville, SC and Daniel Patrick Morris of Goose Creek, SC; Grandchildren: Mackenzie Renee Morris, Hayden Michael Morris and Kayla Foster; great grandchildren: Stella Howard and Riley Jade; Siblings: Deborah Hernandez (Gilbert), Donna Carlson (Patrick), Kathleen Morris, Linda Finn, Rebecca Recker (Russell)
