Michael Denard Rector

Michael Denard Rector, 51, of Awendaw, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 31, 2022. His memorial service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 in the J Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd. at 2:00 pm where the family will receive friends an hour before the service.

Michael was born April 22, 1971 in Key West, Florida, son of Warren Lance Rector and the late Pamela Joy Rector. He loved the lowcountry and embraced his life as a shrimper and carpenter. He will be remembered for the way he loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Warren Lance Rector of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son, Franklin Marley Rector of Awendaw, SC; sister, Renee Rector Suggs (Terry) of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, Lance Rector of Mount Pleasant, SC; and beloved fiancée, Julia Penninger of Awendaw, SC; nephews, Kevin Suggs, Joshua Rector, Christian Rector; and niece, Annabelle Suggs; Aunts, Gwendolyn Rector, Lorraine Murdock, Shannon Spach (James); and sister-in-law, Dorothy Causey.
