Michael Munoz

Michael Munoz, 94, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Marie Elizabeth Altman Munoz, died Saturday, September 15, 2018. His Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue at 12:00 pm. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow in Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Tuesday in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Michael was born January 20, 1924 in Lafayette, Colorado, son of the late Manuel Garcia Munoz and the late Maria Tenorio Vega. He was a Repair Supervisor with ATandT and Bell South. Michael was in the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, VFW Post #10256 in Goose Creek, and Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Marie Elizabeth Altman Munoz; daughter, Mary Hall (Rick) of Moncks Corner; four sons: Michael Dale Munoz (Carol) of Summerville, SC, Anthony L. Munoz (Patricia) of North Charleston, Randall D. Munoz (Barbara) of Peachtree City, GA, Larry J. Munoz of Goose Creek; sister, Mary Miller of Victorville, CA; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
