Michael "Mikey" Peden Mueller

Michael Peden Mueller, 18, of Isle Of Palms, South Carolina died Tuesday, June 7, 2016. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 18, 2016 in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, Charleston, SC from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Drive, Winston-Salem, NC at 1:00 p.m. Interment following will be in Forsyth Memorial Park. A paddle out is planned for Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at 34th Street, Isle of Palms with a celebration of his life afterwards at the family home. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Michael was born January 30, 1998 in Charleston County, son of Dr. James Mueller and Dr. Rene Dentiste Mueller. A lifetime resident of Isle of Palms, he loved island living and all things Low Country. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast preferring to spend his time surfing, swimming, fishing and hunting. He was recently graduated from Wando High School and was on a month long tour of Europe with his brother and cousins. Mikey loved skateboarding and was trying to skate all the best skate parks in Europe. While visiting friends and family in Innsbruck, Austria, Mikey made a daring climb of the Kaminspitze and reached its peak before falling 1000 ft to his death. He died doing what he loved doing - hiking the Alps.

He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Tom and Nick, and many other close relatives and friends.
