Michael "Mike" Raymond Haines

Michael "Mike" Raymond Haines, 59, of Goose Creek, SC, died Thursday, January 29, 2015. His funeral service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
Mike was born September 2, 1955 in Waynesburg, PA, son of the late Gary Norman Haines and Tressie Jane Pecjak Haines. He was employed by Charleston County Mosquito Abatement as a helicopter pilot/mechanic. Mike was Chief of Goose Creek Rural Fire Department and was a member of South Carolina State Firefighters' Association, South Carolina State Association of Fire Chiefs, Berkeley County Fire Chiefs' Association and International Association of Arson Investigators.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Haines of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Lori Evans and her husband Mike; two brothers, Roger Haines and Stan Haines; three nieces: Brook, Tressa and Jenna; four nephews, Frank, Joel, Keith and Michael.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
