Michael Gavin "Mike" McGeady, 34, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, December 8, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Temple Of Beth Elohim Reform Congregation, 90 Hasell Street, at 12:00 p.m. Interment, Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim Cemetery. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.

Mike was born November 28, 1983 in Chicago, IL, beloved son of Ellen Eisendrath McGeady and the late Leo Daniel McGeady. He graduated from Southern Illinois University. Michael was deeply loved by all he came in contact with. He always had a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors and the water, especially fishing, but he was always happiest surrounded by his family.

Michael was a self-proclaimed Irish Jew and was very proud of that. He was a comedian at heart who always had a joke to tell. No matter how he was feeling, his goal was to make you laugh. He was extremely loving and affectionate to everyone he was close to, but his family was his passion and always came first. His smile lit up every room he walked into and even if that room was full of strangers, he left them as friends. Michael loved his family and his friends. He was a gentle soul and loyal to a fault. He lived every moment to the fullest and on his own terms. His loss has left an emptiness in the lives of his loved ones and he will be eternally missed. He will never be forgotten by anyone he's ever met. We pray our son, brother, uncle, and best friend has found peace.

In addition to his mother, Ellen Eisendrath McGeady and partner, Conrad Richard Nelson of North Charleston, SC, he is survived by two brothers: Patrick James McGeady of Tinley Park, IL and Christopher Samuel McGeady of Columbia, SC; sister, Jennifer Lucylle McGeady of North Charleston, SC; half-brother, Leo Daniel McGeady (Anna) of Bethany Beach, DE; half-sister, Mary Jane Burgess (William) of Long Island, NY; niece, Victoria Madellen Galow-McGeady; and two nephews: Leo Daniel McGeady and Henry Richard McGeady.
