Michael Ray Henson, 73, of James Island, South Carolina, husband of Elizabeth Ross Henson entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 6, 2020. In consideration of the health of all during the time, all services will be private for the family. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Michael was born March 9, 1947 in Asheville, North Carolina, son of the late Carroll Henson and Hope Anders Henson. He retired after working for 25 years as an electrician for Bosch. Mike served his country in the United States Air Force for eight years. He loved Clemson University, Atlanta Braves baseball, Duke basketball and Mike "Coach K" Krzyzewski, but Mike's real passion was for classic cars. He loved to work on, rebuild and thoroughly enjoyed anything automotive related.
He is survived by two daughters, Ashley (Nathan) Snider, Michelle (Tim) Burnette; son, Sheldon Henson; grandchildren, Andrew and Miles Snider; sister, LuAnne (Buddy) Haney; five brothers, Joe (Donna) Henson, Charlie (Tyler) Henson, Willis (Pat) Henson, Alvin Henson and Kenny Henson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mike's name to: American Heart Assoc., SC Memorial Processing Center, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA, 23060 or Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC, 29406.
