Hendricks
Nov 30, 1992 — Sep 9, 2026
Michael Wade Hendricks, 33, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Kayla Henson Hendricks ended his watch Wednesday, September 9, 2026. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Faith Church, 337 Farmington Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Michael was born November 30, 1992 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Brett Wade Hendricks of Charleston, SC and Denise Black Alvarez of Cross, SC. He proudly served his community as a Detective and law enforcement officer with Charleston County, a career that reflected his dedication to helping and protecting others. Outside of his work, he enjoyed fishing, paintball, playing video games, especially Call of Duty, and had a lifelong love of sports. He was a devoted Carolina Gamecocks fan and enjoyed adding to his collection of tattoos. One of his greatest joys was coaching his son in baseball and sharing his love of the game with all his kids. He could also rarely be found without a Red Bull close by, a small detail that those who knew and loved him will always remember with a smile.
In addition to his wife, Kayla of 2 years, and parents, he is survived by children: Chance Ryder Kuhn of Ridgeville, Oliver Hendricks of New Jersey, and Liam Hendricks of New Jersey; step-children: Madisyn Brown and Ridge Brown both of Summerville; brother, Dustin Hendricks of Cross, SC; grandmother, Frances Haase of Moncks Corner, SC; uncles: Richard Hendricks (Teresa) of Goose Creek, Van Hendricks (Lisa) of James Island, Joseph Howard Black, Jr. of Moncks Corner, SC and Zachary O'Neal Haase of Moncks Corner, SC; and great aunt, Anna Guerry of Inman, SC.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Douglas Oliver Haase; and grandparents: Richard and Helen Hendricks.
