Michael David Gonia, 66, of Summerville, SC, husband of Patricia H. Harris Gonia passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. His memorial service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the St. George's Episcopal Church, 9110 Dorchester Road at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Michael was born September 7, 1948 in St. Mary's, MD, son of the late David William Gonia and the late Betty Mae Salow Gonia. Michael was a Seabee in the US Navy. His career in transportation included steel metal work with Ford Motor Company and truck driving.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Pat, two daughters: Kendra Dyanne Gonia Leavesley (Dennis) of Alpena, MI, Kolette Louise McLelland (Matthew Paul) of Euless, TX; two grandchildren, Michael Hildreth, Nikolas Leavesley; granddoggie, Sudden; by marriage a daughter, Stormi White Mullis (Keith) of North Charleston, SC and son, Jeremy Dean White (Kristen McCrimmon) of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren, Cassie Mullis and Taylor Mullis; two sisters, Bonnie Quince and Carol Wright both of Monroe, MI.
