Michael J. Burkett, Jr. was born July 19, 1963 and died January 13, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael J. Burkett Sr.

Michael is survived by his mother, Mary Holmes Burkett; his sister, Laine Burkett Carter, her husband Lance and their children, Morgan Carter White and husband Sean, Ian Carter and his partner Brandy Craven, and Cheryll Carter.

The funeral will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc.,Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mount Pleasant, SC, at 1:00 pm.

A wake will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 in SouthBay at Mount Pleasant,1400 Liberty Midtown Dr. at 1:00 pm.
