Michael Clay Boomer

Michael Clay Boomer, Jr.Michael Clay Boomer, Jr., 74, of Johns Island, South Carolina, died Thursday, May 12, 2016. His memorial service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the Downtown Chapel.

Michael was born March 20, 1942 in Arlington, Virginia, son of the late Michael Clay Boomer and Fannie Cahoon Boomer. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was a retired Insurance Sales Specialist.

Michael is survived by his companion, Jessica Shields Flowers of Johns Island, SC; three daughters: Michele Shultz and her husband Christopher of Shepherdstown, WV, Stacy King and her husband Frankie of Herndon, VA, and Susan B. Ellis and her husband Derek of Leesburg, VA; brother, David Boomer of Lancaster, PA; and seven grandchildren: Zachary Stehney, Kyle King, Christian King, Caitlyn King, Jackson Ellis, Charlie Shultz and Andrew Ellis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, N. Charleston, SC 29406.
