Michael Eugene Benton

Michael Eugene Benton, 42, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 1, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 9, 2015, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 8, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael was born April 20, 1972 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Benny Joe Benton and the late Elizabeth Curtis Benton. Michael attended Goose Creek High School and graduated from Job Corp in Bamberg, SC with a degree in building and apartment maintenance. He worked as a maintenance supervisor. Michael also enjoyed playing golf, building model cars and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his father, Robert L. Cox of Goose Creek; brothers, Brian Benton of Guthrie, OK, Jimmy Cox of Goose Creek, SC, and Robert Benton of MI; daughter, Mia Benton; nieces, Brianna Benton, Jaylen Cox, and Susie Cox; and numerous step-siblings and nieces and nephews.
