Melvin Stein, 81, of Summerville, SC, died Thursday, March 15, 2018. The family will receive friends Monday, March 19, 2018, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. His graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

Melvin was born October 10, 1936 in St. Louis, MO, son of the late Abe Stein and Frances Deutch Stein. He was a US Air Force veteran and retired as a Nuclear Weapons Inspector from Goose Creek Naval Weapons Station. He was a member of the Hammerton Masonic Lodge #332, Omar Shrine Temple and American Legion Post #166.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Baldwin Stein of Summerville, SC; daughter, Victoria Stein Price (Buddy) of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren, Brian Price (Kristen) of Ladson, SC, Chelsea Price (Dustin) of Dorchester, SC; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Bulin, Corbyn Bulin, Camden Bulin, Cayson Bulin and Amelia Price.
