Melvena Sue Owens, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Norman Patrick Owens, entered into eternal rest with our Lord Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Melvena was born August 12, 1943 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Arthur Sye Williams and Theola Neighbors Williams.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by twin sister, Martina Lou Hart; son, Curtis Lee Owens; daughter, Sheila Renee Owens; daughter, Crystal Lynn Dunaway; granddaughter, Ellen Marie Owens; grandson, Branson Scott Dunaway; grandson, Landon Patrick Dunaway; great-granddaughter, Kaelyn Elizabeth Owens; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Janelle Owens.

She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Ladon Owens; brother, Kelly Ray Williams; sister, Betty Jo Grey; twin brothers Beryl Dean and Deryl Jene Williams.
