Melissa Ann Penrod, 34, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 23, 2019. Services will be held at Melrose Baptist Church 3520 Peters Creek Road, NW Roanoke, VA 24019 on Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Melissa was born July 9, 1984 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey and raised in Roanoke, VA. Daughter of Dennis R. Penrod and Debra Conover Penrod. Melissa graduated from Radford University with a BSN, in Radford, VA. Her first entry into the VA career nursing field was at Salem VA Medical Center. She was Registered Nurse at Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, SC.

She is survived by her father, and mother, of West End, NC and siblings Steven R. Penrod, and his wife Gretchen Styne Penrod and Corey J. Penrod all of Wilmington, NC. She is survived by numerous aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
