Melissa Mixon Allred, 59, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Benjamin E. Allred III died Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street, at 11:00 a.m.
Melissa was born April 29, 1957 in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of William McLean Mixon and Barbara Hill Mixon. She graduated as valedictorian from the College of Charleston and was a teacher at Moultrie Middle School.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ben, she is survived by two sons, Grey (Melissa) Allred and Taylor Allred; three precious grandchildren, Davis, Lucy, and Peyton; and three sisters, Kimberly Smith, Jane Robb, and Nancy Collins.
