Melinda B. Scott, 62, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 1, 2016. Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Melinda was born December 30, 1953 in Tampa, Florida, daughter of the late William Wayne Scott and Eleanor Faith Scott. She was an administrative assistant for 20 years with Hughes Motors. Melinda had a passion for crossword puzzles, home decorating, and she enjoyed gourmet cooking.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brooke Atmar Smith of Palm Harbor, FL; Julia Follin Smith of North Charleston, SC; grandson, Chase William Smith, two sisters, Tami Scott Lowman (Rick) of Daniel Island, SC; Sherri Scott Stroud of Brooklet, GA; nieces and nephews, Ryan L. Sherwood (Max), Robert "Bobby" L. Stroud, Taylor L. Lowman, Tradd S. Lowman, and Jordan D. Stroud.
