Medrue Isabell Salerni

Mrs. Medrue Isabell Hiers Salerni, 87, formerly of Charleston, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Wayne Patrick Hospice House. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 24, 2014, in Carolina Memorial Park, 7133 Rivers Avenue, at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Medrue Salerni, the daughter of the late Manning Wilbur Hiers and Clara Isabell Lyons Hiers, was born in Ehrhardt, SC on January 19, 1927. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Her husband of 62 years, Joseph Salerni and a son, Joesph Anthony Salerni; and one brother, Harris Manning Hiers, predeceased her. Surviving are her daughters, Janice Salerni Culp (Bill) of Rock Hill and Donna Salerni Brannon (Rick) of Fort Mill; five grandchildren: Anthony Thomas Mathile, Charles William Culp, Alexander Joseph Culp, Caroline Brannon Bailey (Marshall) and Clayton Thomas Brannon; and great-granddaughter, Kathryn Claire Bailey.
The family is grateful for the 6 years of loving care provided by the staff of Morningside Assisted Living and to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House for the compassionate end-of-life care provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
