Mcarthur Peagler

McArthur "Buster" Peagler, 68, of Charleston, SC, husband of Elizabeth Mizell Peagler, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, in a local hospital.

Born May 14, 1942 in Cross, SC he was one of seven children of Charles Curtis Peagler and Eva Ann Singletary Peagler.  Mr. Peagler was formerly employed with Broyhill Furniture and was a car mechanic by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mizell Peagler of Summerville, SC; daughters, Susan Sams of Summerville, SC and Patricia Mervine of Moncks Corner, SC; son, Elvis L. Peagler of Summerville, SC; sister, Marie Chanson; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces; great-nephews; and Oscar the cat.  He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers: Leroy Peagler, Curtis Peagler, Jr. and Leonard Peagler; and two sisters, Lanny Proctor and Exie Freeman; one great-grandchild.

The funeral service with military honors will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 4:00 PM.  The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
