Maxine Denise Smith

Maxine Denise Smith, 77, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 16, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to immediately follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Maxine was born February 21, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Mack Smith and Bernice DeWitt Smith.  She was a retired administrative officer with the Charleston Naval Shipyard and a former member of the Northwoods Garden Club.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey M. Copeland (Buffie); daughter, Pamela G. Copeland; brother, Glynn Smith; two grandchildren; Lane Greer Copeland and Seth Crawford Copeland;
