Maxine O. Collins

Maxine O. Collins, 89, of Manning, SC, died Monday, January 15, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service.Maxine was born May 26, 1928 in Mullins, SC, daughter of the late John Boyd Owens and the late Betty Price Owens.

Maxine attended Mullins High School. She was the owner of Maxine's Fabric Shop.

She is survived by her sons, Lacy E. Collins, Jr. and Michael L. Collins both of Manning, SC; four sisters: Shirley Simmons of Hopeville, NC, Frances Harrelson of Chapin, SC, Jeanette Rabon of Hartsville, SC, Joann Taylor of Odessa, TX; brother, William L. Owens of Chapin, SC; four grandchildren: Christina Collins of Manning, SC, David Collins of Sheboygan, WI, Renee Collins of Elizabeth City, NC, Amber Collins of Troy, NY; three great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy E. (Gene) Collins; son, George M. "Buck" Collins; and four siblings, Catherine Altman, Jack Owens, Hoyt Owens, J. B. Owens, Jr.
