Mary Anastasia Kelly Williams

Mary Anastasia Williams (nee Kelly), 84, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, widow of MSgt. Richard Earl Williams (USAF Ret) passed away peacefully at Sandpiper Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends in the Mt. Pleasant Chapel on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of the service.

Mary was born October 11, 1933 in her cherished Daniels Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of the late John Francis Kelly and the late Hanna Duggan Kelly. She was a retired sales associate for Belk's at the Sea Island Shopping Center and Town Center for 35 years. Mary also discovered early in life that she was a gifted artist. Her loving and kind nature attracted many to her and she will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

Left to mourn are her loving children, Karen Williams Lesser Hollings and Michael (Mickey) Lee Williams; grandchildren, Kelly Lesser Espinoza (Joaquin) of Washington, DC, Marianne Lesser of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Kate Lesser of Charleston, SC, Frances Williams of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Sullivan Williams (Hyatt) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Reilly Williams of Charleston, SC and her great granddaughter, Alma Louise Espinoza of Washington, DC; former son-in-law, Nowell S. Lesser of Isle of Palms, SC and daughter-in-law, Jenlu Chalker of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, seven siblings, and son-in-law, Robert Meyer Hollings, Jr.
