Mary Brewer Wiggins, 80, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of E. Garner Wiggins, died Friday, April 22, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mary was born November 21, 1935 in Latta, SC to the late Lester and Eutha Alford Brewer. Mary graduated from Lake View High School and the South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse in private practice, at MUSC, and for the American Red Cross. Mary was active in the South Carolina Judges Association and chaperoned several times for the Miss USA pageants. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church. Above all, her greatest joys were her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Beverly W. Pearce and her husband, Stuart D. Pearce, and Michael G. Wiggins and his wife, Kimber M. Wiggins; and seven grandchildren: Austin Brewer Pearce, Mary Michelle Pearce, Jackson Dean Pearce, Michael Davis Wiggins, Jaclyn Leigh Wiggins, Joseph Garner Wiggins, and Max McDonald Wiggins.
