Mary Elizabeth "Lisa" Varn, 57, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Lisa was born January 6, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Robert Ball Varn, Sr. and the late Frances Fox Varn. She graduated from The College of St. Catherine, St. Mary's Campus in Minneapolis, MN. As a physical therapy assistant for over 30 years, Lisa touched many lives in her community. She provided therapy in home health, assisted living and rehab settings. She was still changing lives as recently as June at Savannah Grace at the Palms of Mount Pleasant. Her healing hands and distinct laughter provided hope when her patients needed it the most. She brought energy, dedication, loyalty, laughter and friendship to the rehab teams who were lucky enough to have known her.
She is survived by sister, Sherry Varn Barley (Stephen) of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, Robert Ball Varn, Jr. (Francie); niece, Nicole Barley; two nephews, Jason and Josh Barley, aunt, Dot McClain (Jack) and many extended family and friends.
