Mary Catherine “Cathy” Teasley, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, entered into eternal rest on August 6, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Walter Teasley. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will be private.

Cathy was a cosmetologist for over thirty years. She was a member of the Charleston Shag Club and the Shaggers Hall of Fame. She loved and cherished spending time with her family, as well as shagging, going to the beach, tending to her flower garden, and vacationing with her family. She will be remembered for her quick wit, sassy style, great sense of humor and her ability to make everyone around her laugh.
 
In addition to her husband Jimmie, Cathy is survived by her daughters, Dawn Swalhah (the late Anthony), Dana Ambrose, and Deanna Edwards (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Zachary Swalhah, Christopher Swalhah, Matthew Swalhah, James Ambrose, Ashleigh Edwards, Kyle Edwards, sister Angela Owens and late brother, Marshall Fowler.
 
Memorial donations can be made in Cathy’s memory to Crescent Hospice or to Asbury St. James Methodist Church.
