Mary Imogene Snipes Taylor, 86, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Wilton H. Taylor, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 8, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 2:00 p.m. Entombment, Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Imogene was born February 8, 1926 in Greenville County, South Carolina, daughter of James Barkstell Snipes and Florie Kellett Snipes. She was a former substitute teacher at Boulder Bluff Elementary School and a member of First Baptist Church of Goose Creek.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry T. Moon (Charles) of Moncks Corner; daughter, Dianne T. Bell of Goose Creek; daughter, Wanda T. Cook (Wayne) of Goose Creek; son, Donald W. Taylor (Polly) of Ramona, CA; daughter, Marcia T. Krouse (Jeffrey) of Goose Creek; sister, Janet Snipes Padgett of Charlotte, NC; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Stoddard; and 2 brothers, James B. Snipes and Johnny B. Snipes.
