Mary Elisabeth Smith, 91, of James Island, South Carolina, wife of Corneilius O'Neal Smith entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Harbor Light Baptist Church at 3:00 pm. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Mary was born January 16, 1922 in Hampton County, South Carolina, daughter of John Kirby Smith and Annie Ginn Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 71 years; her daughter: Elda Smith Hanf (Joseph) of James Island, SC; two grandchildren: Joanne Hanf Tucker (Paul) of Johns Island, SC and Jason Curtis Hanf (Laura) of Gastonia, NC; three great-grandchildren: Bailey Tucker, Jenna Tucker, and Madison Hanf; two sisters: Annie Nanney (Al) of West Columbia, SC and Virginia Plemmons (Bill) of Simpsonville, SC; and her brother, Roland Smith (Jackie) of Marietta, GA.

Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Baptist Church, 1300 Fort Johnson Road, James Island, SC 29412.
