Mary Lynn Russell

Lynn Russell, 74, died peacefully in ICU on August 17, 2015 in Charleston, SC, after a four month illness. Her Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015, from 12 noon until 4:00 pm at the Howland Community Church "John Howland Room", 198 Niles Cortland Road, Warren OH. The burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, North Charleston, South Carolina.

Lynn was born August 7, 1941 in Toronto, OH, the daughter of Peter J. and Thurma Murray. In 1980, Lynn married the love of her life, William Russell, Sr.; they lived in Howland Township, OH until they moved to Goose Creek, SC last year to be close to their children and grandchildren.

Family and friends were Lynn's passion and delight. She grew up spending summers and vacations with her brothers and her cousins. She loved to host and entertain and frequently had parties at her house. A consummate mother and homemaker, Lynn was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, William Russell, Sr.; brothers, Jon Murray of Rocklin, CA and Greg Murray of Baton Rouge, LA.; daughter, Mary Ann McCart-Hassan of Goose Creek, SC; son, Todd Patrick McCart, of Summerville, SC; grandchildren: Autumn Arbogast, of Moncks Corner SC, Tara McCart of Hanahan, SC, Dyanna, Ashley and Billy Russell of Warren, Oh; great-grandchildren: Rylee and Addison Arbogast, Emma and Lexi Engleman and Issac Russell; four nieces and seven nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Todd Murray.
