Mary Richards Richtermeyer, 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Richard D. Richtermeyer, died Thursday, January 7, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 11, 2016, in Citadel Square Baptist Church, 328 Meeting Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Mary was born July 14, 1935 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Edward Phillip Richards and Gladys Jones Richards. Mary held a GRI and CRS designate in Real Estate and was the former Broker-In-Charge at Read and Read Realty in Summerville. She was also a member of Citadel Square Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by her husband; two sons: James R. Adams of GA, Randall F. Adams (Kathie) of Jacksonville, FL; four daughters: Karen Browning (Kevin) of Pinapolis, SC, Lynda Murray (Dale) of Charleston, SC, Carroll Jordan (Paul) of Grand Rapids, MI, and Kim Schleau (Rocky) of Omaha, NE; two brothers: Edward Phillip Richards of McClellanville, SC, and Chadwick G. Guerry of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Irene R. Bennett (Arnold) of Charleston, SC and Bernadette R. Knisley (Edward) of Johns Island, SC; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Richards and sisters, Anne R. Guerry and Susan R. Clark.
