Mary Shirley Jenkins Perry, 83, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Lawrence Perry, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 29, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in First Baptist Church of North Charleston, 4217 Rivers Avenue, at 11:00 am. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, N. Charleston.

Mary was born January 28, 1930 in Opp, Alabama, one of four children of the late John K. Shirley and Nancy Elizabeth Messick Shirley. She was the church secretary for Wando Woods Baptist Church, a Past Matron of Charleston Chapter #56, O.E.S., a member of First Baptist Church of North Charleston and Winsome Sunday School Class

She is survived by her son, Gilbert E. Jenkins (Cheryl) of Kingsland, GA; a sister, Opal S. Jay of North Charleston; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
