Mary Bivens Peeples, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of James T. Peeples entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 26, 2013. Her Funeral Service will be Monday, December 30, 2013 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy, at 11:00 am. Burial following will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Mary was born February 10, 1925 in Ravenel, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Frank B. Bivens and Frances Postell Bivens. She attended St. Paul's High School.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Linda Sims (Thomas) of Walterboro, SC: Deloris Ann Higgins (Thomas) of Woodbridge, VA; four grandchildren, Cheryl Fagan,Thomas D. Sims, Jr., Christopher Higgins, Rhonda Caison; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by fourteen brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
