Mary Harper Norman

Mary Harper Norman, 68, of Adams Run, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 7, 2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 in Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, 1330 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta GA at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

Mary was born August 7, 1950 in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of the late James Walker Harper and Margaret Ann Zimmerman Harper. Mary grew up in Augusta and graduated from the Academy of Richmond County. She attended Furman University and graduated from Augusta College. She moved to Charleston in 1979, where she practiced as a self-employed Certified Public Accountant until she retired in 2016. She was devoted to her pets and enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her brother, Jay Harper (Pat) of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Meme H. Asserson (Bowen) of Folly Beach, SC, and Margaret Ann Mobley (Walker) of Augusta, GA and she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
