Mary F. Murray

Mary Frances Murray age 85, of Goose Creek, SC died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, peacefully at home.

Born May 3, 1926 in Barnwell, SC she lived most of her life in North Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of William Henry Still and Susie Jeter Still. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Mouzon L. Murray and her son, Charles Elmore Fail. Mrs. Murray was a member of Open Door Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the choir. She was also a member of a bowling league. She loved being with family and friends and traveling. She was also an avid gardener.

Mrs. Murray is survived by her daughter, Mary Fearn (Richard) of Goose Creek, SC; sons, William Robert Fail (Louise) of Claxton, GA and Joe Murray (Sandra) of Goose Creek; grandchildren: Carla Locklear (Steve) of Summerville, SC, Lisa Smith of Summerville, SC, Michelle Cook (Raymond) of Kingstree, SC, Denise Crawford (Harry) of Goose Creek, SC, Tanya Cline (Ronald) of Kingsland, GA, Dana Pace of Summerville, SC, Joan Hoffman (David) of Cayce, SC, Michael Fail (Paige) of Taylor, TX, Matthew Fail (Susan) of Mooresville, NC, William R. Fail II of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie Adkins (Phillip) of Johnson City, TN, Shannon Murray (Michelle) of Goose Creek; step-grandchildren: Terry Gonzales (Richard) of Austin, GA, Larry Fearn (Pamela) of Port Orange, FL, Helen Morgan (Dewey) of Sylvania, GA, Daryl J. Walker (Eileen) of Richmond Hill, GA, Weir Cleve Walker (Alicia) of Savannah, GA, Lori Ayala (Joey) of Savannah, GA; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Open Door Baptist Church, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Friday, February 3, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
