Mary Magdalene Droze Murphy

Mary Magdalene Droze Murphy, 94, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late William Henry Murphy, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 12, 2017. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside, Tuesday, May 16, 2017, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 11:00 a.m.. The family will receive friends Monday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mary was born August 1, 1922 in Berkeley County, South Carolina to the late James Fletcher Droze and the late Rubell Beatrice Ballentine Droze. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her two children, Linda M. Frederick (Stephen) of Charleston, SC; Michael Patrick Murphy of Charleston, SC; two grandsons, Stan Frederick of Sarasota, FL; Robert Frederick (Jennie) of Charleston, SC and a great-grandson, Foxworth Frederick. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Thomas Murphy.
