Mary Elizabeth Muckelvaney, 69, of Hanahan, SC, widow of Fred Lee Muckelvaney entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 9, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Brown Cemetery, Lake City, SC at 3:30 pm. A reception will follow the graveside service Thursday at Harbour Lake Baptist Church in Goose Creek, SC at 6:00 pm. (Drop off for food beginning at 9:00 am). The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Mrs. Muckelvaney was born May 9, 1943 in Lake City, SC, one of ten children of Woodrow Henry Cox and Helen Brown Cox. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden. She also loved her puzzle books.

She is survived by her sons: Randy Nichols and his wife DeeDee of Hanahan, SC, Dean Muckelvaney and his wife Lisa of Ladson, SC, Terry Muckelvaney and Teddy Muckelvaney both of North Charleston, SC, Kenneth; many grandchildren; two great-grandchidren; brothers: Jimmy (Vera) Cox, Henry (Velma) Cox, Keith Cox, James Cox, Marion (Barbara) Cox, Raymond (Karen) Cox; and sisters, Janie Rogers, Delores Huene. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Marie Hiers.
