Mary Schulken Milligan, 71, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Her Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.

Mary was born October 27, 1942 in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of the late Frank B. Schulken and Shirley Graham Schulken. She was a wonderful wife and mother as well as a well known Lowcountry artist. Mary founded the East Cooper Arts and Crafts Association.

She is survived by her children, Cherrie Woodford of Mount Pleasant, SC, Christy Krall of Rincon, GA, Donna Milligan of Sylvania, GA, and Michael Milligan of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Tyler Merrill, Curtis Milligan, Natalie Krall, Collin Treadaway, and Lilith Treadaway; her brother, Daniel Schulken of Mount Pleasant, SC; and her sister, Katherine Oakley of James Island, SC; She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Schulken and Joseph Schulken.
