Mary Mahony Raht Smith, 96, Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Captain A. Graham Raht, USN and Traver C. Smith, died Friday, April 14, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017, in the Bishop Gadsden Chapel, One Bishop Gadsden Way at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service in Myers Hall. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Mary was born October 21, 1920, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Jack Alger Mahony and the late Mary Elizabeth Bahr Mahony. She was a member of St. Michael's Church.
Mary is survived by her sister Sarah M. Rijswijk of Charleston, SC and two brothers Robert D. Mahony of Augusta, GA and William B. Mahony of Charleston, SC.
