Mary Alice Detyens Lambrakos

Mary Alice Detyens Lambrakos, 52, of James Island, SC passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011.  The relatives and friends of Mary Alice Lambrakos are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Sunday, January 9, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mary Alice was born on May 12, 1958 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William James Detyens and Marjorie Greene Detyens.  She was an artist and loved to spend time working on her art projects. She is survived by her son, Thomas "Tad" Andrew Lambrakos of James Island, SC; her sisters, Judy Stewart and her husband, Loy, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Peggy Lamb of Huger, SC; brothers, Jay Detyens of Eutawville, SC and Billy Detyens and his wife, Beverly, of Santee, SC.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Hasse Detyens.
