Mary Claire Murphy Koster

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 20, 2011, Mary Claire Murphy Koster, widow of John Archie Koster.  Residence, James Island, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Monday, March 28, 2011, at 11 am.  Committal services will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 5 until 7 pm with a Christian Wake Service at 5 pm. 

Mrs. Koster was born in Charleston, South Carolina on August 4, 1937, a daughter of the late John Joseph Murphy and the late Isabelle McDaniel Murphy.  She was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and was a member of Church of the Nativity. 

She is survived by a son, Brian Koster of Charleston; two daughters, Denise Koster of North Charleston and Elizabeth Carlisle of Princeton, WV; a sister Donna Hickman of James Island; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
