Mary Elizabeth Kohlbeck

Mary Elizabeth McKibbin Kohlbeck, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Roland Anthony Kohlbeck, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive. Interment will be private. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will host a Gathering of Friends from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home following the Rosary.Mary was born June 10, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Thomas Emmit McKibbin and Marion Veronica Welch McKibbin. She was a parishioner of Christ Our King Catholic Church and a member of the Wakendaw Women's Club. When she lived in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, she was very involved in volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Catholic Charities, and the Welcome Wagon. She is survived by her children, Terry J. Kohlbeck of Waycross, GA, Tricia L. Womac of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Susan Mary Dawley and her husband, Michael, of Mount Pleasant, SC; her sister, Margaret T. Dupies and her husband, Donald, of The Villages, FL; her grandchildren, Travis Kohlbeck, Trey Womac, Sam Womac, Heidi Dawley, Jennifer Brookshire and her husband, Chris, Meghan Dawley, and Michael Dawley, Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb Dawley, Grace Boykin, Savannah Boykin, and Charlie Emilia Brookshire. Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert M McKibbin and Thomas McKibbin, and her sisters, Patricia Defrates and Kathleen McKibbin. Mary was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Kohlbeck.The family welcomes flowers, or memorials may be made to Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
