Mary Margaret Dingman King, 60, a devoted grandmother, loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and cherished friend, passed away surrounded by the love of those who knew her best.

Mary was born December 13, 1965 and raised in Glens Falls, New York, where she formed the strong values and deep sense of family that carried her throughout her life. She later made Summerville, South Carolina her home, where she spent most of her adult life building a family and a community filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for those around her.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Gregory King; her brother and sisters; her children, Brittani Sweatman, Ryan (Jessica) King, and Brandon (Adriana) King; and her seven grandchildren-Bentlee, Easton, William, Beckham, Ashton, Rylan, and Ariella-who were truly her pride and joy. Mary rarely missed a moment in their lives, spending weekends cheering from the sidelines at sporting events and weekdays caring for them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

A loyal New York Giants fan, Mary could often be found with football on the television, passionately supporting her team. She found joy in the simple moments-family gatherings, busy weekends with her grandchildren, and time spent with those she loved most.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Hood and her stepmother, Carol Dingman. She is also survived by her stepfather, Bill Hood, and her father, Ron Dingman.

Mary Margaret Dingman King will be remembered for her generous heart, her fierce love for her family, and the steady presence she was in the lives of so many. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

A Visitation will be held for family and friends on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
