Mary Lorene Salley Head

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 20, 2011, Mary Lorene Campbell Salley Head, widow of Van C. Head and the late David L. Salley.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Friday, June 24, 2011, at 11 am.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Friday from 10 am until the time of service.

Mrs. Head was born on April 19, 1923 in Paris, Tennessee, daughter of the late George and Gertie Chadwick Campbell.  She was a member of Charleston Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda C. Salley-Weeks and son-in-law, Larry Weeks, Sr. of Ravenel; son, David Larry Salley, Sr. of Daniel Island; sister, Mae Dell French of Hendersonville, NC; two grandchildren, Lorene Fitzgerald and husband Adam, David Larry Salley, Jr. and wife Ann; five great grandchildren; and a special niece and her husband Donna and Larry Russell.
