Mary Ross "DeDe" Hanahan, 74, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Thursday, October 23, 2014. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Millbrook Plantation, Highway 61, Charleston, SC at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
DeDe was born October 10, 1940 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Ogier Hanahan and the late Elizabeth Lucas Hanahan. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a lover of Golden Retreivers.
She is survived by two sons, Mikell M. Henderson and his wife, Katherine O. Henderson, of Brunswick, GA and Joseph Ross Henderson of Wadmalaw Island, SC; two grandsons, William Mikell Henderson and Joseph Connor Henderson; two sisters, Elizabeth H. Clark and Frances G. Hanahan and a brother, Buist L. Hanahan, all of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Ogier Hanahan, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
