Mary Elizabeth Haglund

Mary Elizabeth Haglund, 96, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Gerhard Oscar Haglund, Sr. entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 in St. Andrews Historic Church, 440 Whilden Street, Mount Pleasant at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery, 2304 N Hwy 17, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Mary was born April 20, 1922 in Charleston, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Louis Charles Vallenga and Mary Freeman Vallenga. She was a homemaker, avid tennis player, and member of St. Andrew's Historic Church.


She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lynn Callison of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughter-in-law, Marilynd Haglund of Mount Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Marie Haglund of Mount Pleasant, SC, Erin Pabst (Shawn McDonald) of Mount Pleasant, SC, David Pabst, III (Sandra) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Charles F. Callison, III (Autumn) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Christen Callison of San Francisco, CA; and four great-grandchildren, David Pabst, IV, Lauren Pabst, Maxwell McDonald and Arlo Callison.
