Mary Virginia Smith Gibson, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Dr. William Vernon Gibson, Jr. entered into eternal rest Friday, February 2, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Christ Church, 2304 N. Highway 17, Mt. Pleasant at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will follow in the Christ Church Columbarium. Arrangements by J. Mary was born January 24, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of the late Duke Osteen Smith and Henrietta Marie Eddins Smith. She was a wife, military spouse, mother, homemaker, friend, and a member of Christ Church, Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by her son, Michael Lawrence Gibson, and his wife Laura Gibson of Tallahassee, FL, along with two grandchildren, Kylie Gibson and Amanda Gibson.
