Mary Pat Gibbs, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 2, 2026. Her funeral service will be private, held at the graveside at Old St. Andrews Parish Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

Mary was born February 4, 1943 in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Charles W. Macloskie and Eugenia Bothwell Macloskie.

She is survived by two brothers, Mike Macloskie of Beaufort, SC and Tom Macloskie of Gainesville, GA; two sons, Philip “Casey” Baynes (Debby) of Charleston, and Sam Baynes (Stacy) of Suamico, WI; four granddaughters, Rhett Bennett (Jack), Jessica Keating (Ian), Emily Egle (Josh), and Madison Baynes; and 2 great grandsons. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Ernest Gibbs, Jr. M.D.

Memorial donations can be made in Mary's name to Old St. Andrews Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29455.
