Mary "Mimi" Cecil Cutler

Mary "Mimi" Cecil Cutler, widow of Richard M. Cutler, former Vice-Chairman Putnam Funds, Boston, MA, died at the age of 90 on December 18, 2018 at Bishop Gadsden Retirement Home.

Mimi was born December 13, 1928 in Washington, DC, daughter of Rear Admiral Charles Purcell Cecil and Mary Pelzer Cecil. As the daughter of a naval officer, she grew up throughout the United States and was in Honolulu when Pearl Harbor was bombed. She graduated from St. Timothy's School in Maryland and attended the College of Charleston. After marrying in 1948, Mimi and Dick lived in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts until retiring in Charleston in 1990. They were members of St. Michael's Church.

Mimi is survived by her four sons: Richard M. Cutler, Jr. (Mary), Charles Cecil Cutler, Nicholas Bayard Cutler (Kim) and John Randolph Shepley Cutler (Nancy); seven grandchildren: Mary Cutler Baarcke (Charles), Richard M. Cutler III (Courtney), Caroline Cutler Rowe (Chatham), Nicholas Bayard Cutler, Jr., Katherine Livingston Cutler, John Randolph Shepley Cutler, Jr., and Charles Richard Harrison Cutler; five great-grandchildren; and brother, John Anthony Pelzer Cecil. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Purcell Cecil, Jr.
