Mary Louise Cox

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of April 7, 2012, Mary Louise Cox, wife of Charles Everett Cox, Sr. of Hanahan, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Charles E. Cox, Sr. are invited to attend her funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Wednesday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel on Tuesday, between 5:00 p.m and 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Cox was born on December 15, 1939 in Islandton, SC, the daughter of William Hammie Murdaugh and Hazel Swingel Porcher Murdaugh. She was a retired Charleston County School District Teacher's Aide. Mrs. Cox was a member of Pittman Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Cox, Sr.; sons, Charles E. Cox, Jr. (Robin) and William Stanley Cox (Alyse); daughter, Sharron Cox Lent (Lloyd) all of Hanahan, SC; five grandchildren: Lindsey Anthony, Chanler Cox, Cameron Cox, Sean Lent and Trey Lent; three great-grandchildren: Tyler Anthony, Logan Anthony and Drew Lent. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Glen Murdaugh, Sonny Porcher, Buddy Murdaugh, Annie Liza Rawl, Eunice Ulmer, Edith Banister and Sallie Williams.
