Mary Louise Cone

November 8, 1925 — May 7, 2013

Mary Louise Jones Cone, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Elliott Hamilton Cone entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 in The Chapel at Bishop Gadsden at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Mary Louise was born November 8, 1925 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of James Manning Jones and Lillie Claudia Gilliam Jones. She was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School and retired in transportation services with Mobil Chemical Company. Mary Louise was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church and attended Harbor Light Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son: Elliott Hamilton Cone, Jr. (Nancy) of Archdale, NC; her daughter: Sandra Cone Motley Moore (Dan) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren: Jennifer Motley Lee (Carter), Eliza Cone Hough (Jamie), Mary Louise Cone, Elliott Hamilton Cone, III, and Christopher Scott Morton (Christine); six great grandchildren: Hutch, Eliza, Wilson, Charlie, Benjamin, Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Elliott Motley, nine brothers and sisters.
